A different duck

A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting at the kitchen island in my studio, doom-scrolling through the interwebs (that’s what the kids call it) when I came across a somewhat famous image I had seen many times before. Given our current political climate, I wasn’t surprised to see it resurface.

The image is of a man named August Landmesser. You can read his Wikipedia entry here.

As I stared at the image, I noticed a rubber ducky sitting on the kitchen island. We seem to have an abundance of rubber duckies in the studio—they somehow find their way into odd places throughout the space.

So, I decided to create two images inspired by the August Landmesser photo, using rubber duckies.
